The Acuter MaksyGo 60 DIY is a complete, fully functional educational telescope kit, supplied as a set for self-assembly. Once assembled, it is a fully functional telescope which offers the advantage of being able to remove the side panel to understand the fascinating internal construction of a modern Maksutov-Cassegrain optical system and to learn how it works. This compact and easily transportable telescope is ideal for educational observation and exploration. It is fitted with a Dobsonian-type azimuth mount, which combines excellent stability with ease of use for the simplest of observations.

The MaksyGo 60 DIY kit comprises a collapsible Maksutov telescope tube (60 mm aperture / 750 mm focal length), a removable 20 mm eyepiece providing 37.5x magnification, and a 90-degree zenith mirror.

The Maksutov telescope is named after Dmitri Maksutov (1896–1964), a Soviet/Russian optician and astronomer who introduced this telescope design in 1941. The Acuter MaksyGo 60 is the perfect way to follow in his footsteps as you observe the universe!
