12 "f/7.5 - non-mirror telescope!

Many observatories have medium-sized mirror systems and catadioptric telescopes in the range between 12 "and 16". Our 304mm APM Triplet SuperED Apo is aimed at the very serious, semi-professional amateur, educational and research institution. No other supplier in the world is able to deliver such a large and perfectly manufactured apochromatic triplet lens optic for the highest demands! The advantage of this system is the enormous contrast and the extremely universal usability, be it visual, photographic or metrological.

The focal ratio is sensationally fast at f/7.5 for a complex multi-lens system of this type! Technologically, this telescope is a top product without competition. The effort for the lens mount alone is enormous; various aspects of physics have to be taken into account. The specialists from LZOS offer excellent, well-founded work and can contribute all their know-how from space optics and even military technology according to the manufacturing specifications of APM.

You should prepare yourself visually for unforgettable hours! With a 300mm aperture, many deep-sky objects show very interesting details that can be seen e.g. can also easily observe binocularly. The result is an enormous plus in ergonomics. With good seeing, planets will show rare details, absolutely pure in color and with the highest contrast! Here an apo is superior to any mirror system, no matter how good! It is not for nothing that many large observatories have large apochromats from APM for planetary imaging. Of course, astrophotography is also a big topic with these optics: The focus is on the imaging of medium-sized and smaller objects that require a long focal length and whose assessment requires maximum contrast.

If you have enough space in the observatory, you can have a beautiful, elongated tube made by and, of course we will cater to all of your requests, provided that this is technically feasible. The space-saving variant is a Coudé system, which also fits into smaller domes and is definitely easier to handle in terms of lifting conditions. Of course, we can also manufacture these systems for you.

In addition to the large 3.5 "FeatherTouch focuser, all the important reducing adapters, sleeves and the viewfinder holder are already integrated in order to conveniently connect both photographic and visual accessories. Multi-compatible pipe clamps are standard, a sturdy transport box is optionally available. We coordinate the primary data and optional components closely with you!
