The "6 incher" is both visually and photographically a great optics that can be used universally. The focal ratio of f/7.9 allows a relatively "slim" optical design with fast cooling as well as excellent chromatic and spherical correction. The 152mm diameter offers 2.5x more area than a 4" optics and around 50% more area than a 5 inch optics. Resolve the closest double stars with colored components, resolve globular clusters and observe the finest planetary details.
