The APM LZOS 100mm f/8 is not only a wonderful, powerful visual apo, but also an excellent astrograph, reduced to f/6 with the Riccardi Reducer. This system with the specially supplied reducer creates a fully illuminated and corrected field for full-frame sensors and creates pin-point star images right into the corners, even with the latest larger cameras. With our Riccardi Reducer M63 the focal length is reduced to 600mm, whereby the aperture ratio is reduced from f/8 to f/6. The fully corrected image circle is 42mm.
The system comes with a large 3.5" FeatherTouch™ focuser, which is known for its excellent quality. The features: 360° rotatable and separately clampable, 1:10 micro reduction, adapter to 1.25" is included. The aperture is dimensioned largeenough that vignetting is excluded. The focuser tubeends with i reducing adapter 3" - 2" with clamping ring and an adapter 2" - 1¼" with brass clamping ring. With the included 80mm extension tube, you can vary the visual accessories very well.
The optical tube is of course internally optimized and stable with regard to field illumination and avoidance of stray light, but it is still lightweight. The dew cap is retractable, front and rear end caps and a bracket for a viewfinder are also included.
