The corrector improves the focal ratio from f/7 to f/4.9 and thus allows shorter exposure times and gives a larger field. It is designed for the Askar 80ED and offers good color correction thanks to the ED glass used. The corrector flattens the field and eliminates coma at the edge of the field of view. It is optimized for APS-C format, but can also be used with full-frame sensors, but then with a flat to achieve uniform illumination.
