The ‘Made in Germany’ mount holds the filter film securely in place and provides a firm connection to the telescope or telephoto lens. The Baader filter film is more robust and safer than a glass filter. It is coated on both sides, thereby eliminating the risk of tiny micro-holes. Unlike any other solar filter on the market, AstroSolar is CE-certified in accordance with EC Standard 89/686 and EN 169/92 (notified body 0196). All stages of production associated with this product have been thoroughly tested. The coatings are constantly checked for consistency to ensure your eye safety!
The 3D-printed version
The frame is 3D-printed. A robust and, above all, UV-resistant PETG is used, ensuring that the frame will not become brittle even after many years. The frame is perfectly fitted, guaranteeing a secure hold.
