The QHY5-III series camera is a USB3.0 super-speed camera with a Guide Port. It still uses the same standard 1.25-inch eyepiece adapter and has an adjustable location ring for confocality with an eyepiece. The QHY5-III comes in a very small but powerful package!
This camera is excellent for sun and moon with its large sensor, but can also be used very well for deep sky because of the low noise.
Sensor: 1.1" CMOS IMX432 with 1.77 megapixels resolution Sensor size: 9.9 mm x 14.5 mm - diagonal: 17.6 mm Large image field - very well suited for sun and moon Pixels with 9.0 µm size and corresponding light sensitivity With approx. 79 % QE a still high efficiency for short exposure times Very well suited for EAA due to high frame rate of 120 fps Full well capacity 97 ke- Starvis technology with back illumination USB 3.0 for fast download of images 12 bit ADC No amplifier glow (amp glow) Passive cooling with heat dissipation against heating of the sensor during long time exposures Good suitability for deep sky imaging AR protection filter built in with full transmission also in infrared ST4 level autoguiding interface included Feature summary Altair Hypercam 585C CMOS Camera:
TEC cooling with heatsink for extra low noise On board temperature sensor for perfect dark frame calibration. 5A 12v DC Power supply included, with 110-240v input.
