The Maksutov is a fast and versatile Tele objective. One of its main characteristics is the crisp focus, also off-axis. Especially the crisp off-axis focus makes this objective interesting for demanding Photographers. The compact dimensions and short exposure times enable one to shoot without tripod. This is an intersting point for sport events and animal photography. Astro Photographers appreciate the good field illumination and minor distortions.

Adaption to photo tripods is easy: The Maksutov Tele Objective offers two tripod flange plates with each 1/4" and 3/8" thread. For connecting a DSLR camera you additionally need a M42 to T2 adapter and the mounting adapter for your special camera.
