In order to use Masuyama´s large 80 mm 3" eyepiece on large telescopes such as refractors or SC telescopes, Kokusai Kohki from Japan has also developed a large 3" mirror diagonal that allows observations over the full field of the long focal length eyepiece without vignetting.
The scope of delivery includes a reduction adapter to 2", which allows the use of smaller 2" accessories.
To avoid scratch marks on the 3" and 2" accessories, the star diagonal and the 2" adapter are fitted with a brass ring clamp. The clamping is done by 3 knurled screws that press on the ring.
