Specifications includes an 80.0 mm diameter 7075 aluminium wheel gear and brass worm gear in adjustable worm block. 32mm diameter 7075 aluminium axis shafts supported in high quality ball and taper bearings. Features included adjustable friction clutches on both axis and 360 degree slow-motion controls allowing simultaneous push-to and slo-mo tracking. High quality flexible slow motion cables included. Connection adapter for the Rowan AZ100 mount and the EQ5 tripod. Also suitable for other platforms. This adaptor bolts diectly to the base of the AZ100. The AZ100 will then fit EQ5 or HEQ5 tripod heads using a M10 bolt. Ideal for travelling with small / lighter scopes that don't require a large tripod. Alternatively this adaptor allows fitting the AZ100 directly to a pier surface with out the need to access from below. The pier top will require 4 x M8 tapped holes on 90.0mm circle. The entire control unit is built on individual electronic cards and installed in a stable housing. This makes maintenance very easy. The control system includes a GoTo function with over 13000 objects. Further, control is also provided via a planetary program such as, for example, Cartes du Ciel possible. The Skywatcher 0.85x focal reducer / field flattener has been designed for astronomers who want to use the renown ED Apo for astro photography. The flattener reduces the telescope's focal length by the factor of 0.85 and increases the useful field. As a positive side effect, the necessary integration times are significantly reduced.
