Product description Anyone who seriously wants to observe at a high level needs a powerful optics. Our APM MS 100mm binoculars already have 3x as much light collecting area than 50mm binoculars. This results in a significantly increased resolution, limiting magnitude (astronomy) and magnification in the terrestrial area. New fields open up for the nature observer, as distant objects remain recognizable even in difficult light situations. The amateur astronomer will appreciate the increased object brightness, which makes detailed observation much easier. The price-performance ratio is excellent! The large 4 "ED optics are modern, multi-coated, as also the BAK-4 prism system is. This enables sharp, high-contrast and bright object imaging, even in difficult light conditions. Our model 34x100 offers an AP of 4mm, an optimal value for long-term detailed observations. But a tripod is recommended for observation (adapter included). The APM Magnesium binoculars uses high quality ED glass (FK61) as well as BAK-4 prisms for maximum contrast and highest sharpness over the entire field of view. Special coatings on all optical surfaces eliminate disturbing reflections and ensure natural colors. With a interpupillar distance of 16mm, the eyepiece construction is good suitable for people who wear glasses. The rubber eyecups can be folded down. The entire system got the IPX-7 certification for protection against the ingress of water. Our binoculars is completely protected against rain and immersion in water, so it is completely weatherproof. The magnesium body is very lightweight and yet very robust. Calculation of the shortening factor: The corrector is installed directly in front of the binoviewer. If the corrector is moved further away from the binoviewer, the magnification effect and path compensation increase. ♦ GWK 1,25x: The optical path of the binoviewer is shortened by 18 mm. ♦ GWK 1,7x: The optical path of the binoviewer is shortened by 41 mm. ♦ GWK 2,6x: The optical path of the binoviewer is shortened by 84 mm. Adaptation to the telescope: Adaptation to the binoviewer is simple. The corrector is simply clamped between the T2 female thread and the T2 male thread. The adapter is automatically centered. For the connection to 1.25" or 2" we recommend suitable Baader adapters which are linked under the accessory recommendations. Further application possibilities: The correctors are not only suitable for the Baader Maxbright binoviewers. Also for other binoviewers or adapters, prisms ... the correctors can be used. GPCAM3 has additional electronics for USB3.0 support, and to make space for the FULL SIZE USB3.0 connector. (We feel USB micro connectors are not a good idea for imaging because they don't maintain a reliable connection and wear easily, so we used full-size dual port connectors on this camera). Better control with Trigger Mode: "Trigger Mode" is fully supported to make long exposures of over 5 seconds easier to control. With most CMOS cameras, in normal video mode, the camera controls are "locked up" during a long exposure, so you have to wait for the exposure to complete before the camera will accept any commands. So you have to wait to abort a frame if a cloud covers the view, or make routine changes, say gain (ISO), exposure duration, re-aligning or refocusing on the object. However in "Trigger Mode", you can now stop the camera instantly (even if you are half way through a long 30 second exposure) change the settings, and re-start the camera looping again. For long exposures "Trigger Mode" is essential. Of course you can use normal video mode at up to 5 second exposures for video astronomy and solar system imaging. The GPCAM3 also has improved circuitry to improve data transfer stability at high frame rates (reducing dropped frames) and to increase compatibility with a wider range of PCs. This gives a more consistent data transfer rate over USB buses on laptops or desktop PCs.
