Celestron 200 mm Newtonian with focal ratio 1:5 on EQ5 Mount A universal telescope with much power and comfort The parabolic primary of this 8" Newtonian mirror minimizes spherical aberration to produce a sharper image near the edge of the field of view. This scope is great for intermediate visual observers and beginning astroimagers looking for a large aperture with lots of light-gathering power. As the telescope is meant for users who already have a suitable mount, there is no mount included! The optics An 8" mirror collects a lot of light, increasing the perception of dim celestial objects. The relatively short focal length and the 2" focuser have a positive effect when viewing large objects, as the latter can be seen completely in the large true field of view. Because of the large focal ratio, "hard" nebula filters can be applied when using eyepieces of long focal lenght, resulting in a clearly enhanced contrast. On the other hand, the parabolic primary mirror allows high magnifications - helpful for moon, planets, planetary nebulae ans smaller galaxies. The low obstruction of only 26% gives more contrast, thus having advantages when observing planets. Of course, the fast optics has also advantages in photography, is it reduces the exposure times. The coma, typical for Newtonians, can be eliminated by a coma corrector, achieving high sharpness even in the corners of the image. The Skywatcher 0.85x focal reducer / field flattener has been designed for astronomers who want to use the renown ED Apo for astro photography. The flattener reduces the telescope's focal length by the factor of 0.85 and increases the useful field. As a positive side effect, the necessary integration times are significantly reduced. TS Adapter for recessed adaptation of correctors in the focuser UNCN3M82 The TS V-Power focuser with the M82 threaded connection on the camera side accepts large correctors up to 3" body diameter. This adapter allows correctors to be connected via the M68x1 male thread on the corrector. The corrector is recessed into the draw tube, saving valuable optical path. Tilting, as is possible with clamping, is eliminated by the screw connection. On the camera side, the adapter has an M48x0.75 male thread for further adaptations. How the adapter works and what to consider: ♦ Screw the corrector into the M68x1 female thread of the adapter. ♦ Then screw the adapter with the corrector into the M82x1 female thread of the focuser. ♦ Please consider that the adapter needs 9 mm travel (length of the M68x1 female thread and overall length of the adapter) - these 9 mm must be subtracted from the working distance of the corrector. The advantage is that all larger correctors offer a longer working distance. Application example: TSKORW3 on a 325 mm f/4 Newtonian with this adapter: ♦ working distance of the KORW3 Wynne corrector is 64 mm ♦ 9 mm optical path to be subtracted - so 55 mm remain from the M48x0.75 male thread on the adapter. Ideal therefore for all photo adaptations ♦ The exact working distance can be established with suitable adaptations and tuning rings.

With this BW-T2 adapter, you convert the spotting cope to a long telephoto lens. Now you can engage in the fascinating area of digiscoping, the photography through spotting scopes. The adaption could not be easier: just gently screw off the eyecup of the zoom eypiece (counterclockwise), and screw the BW-T2 adapter on. With the optional T2 adapter or filter thread adapter, you can now attach your camera and get started. All functions of the spotting scope, like focusing and the variable magnification offered by the zoom eyepiece, are maintained for photography. You can use all popular cameras, like DSLR, mirrorless cameras and cameras with fixed lenses. Connection is always accomplished via the T2-thread of the adapter. The first step is to screw the M68 accessories into the M68M86n adapter. This can be done from both sides, depending on the intended use (e.g. optics or other adapters). If the M68 accessory is not too wide, the already screwed together unit can be completely countersunk into the eyepiece extension without loss of light path. It is often bought together with the adapter "M68M63M48p" (see photo below), in order to be able to countersink the Riccardi Reducer in the eyepiece extension without tilting.
