Product description

Pegasus Astro Scops OAG - motorised Off-Axis Guider

The new Scops OAG (off-axis guider) from Pegasus Astro is a well designed guider that can be used for remote operation, allowing you to adjust the focus of your guide camera with amazing precision. It is easily operable with ASCOM focus drivers or standalone software, making the guiding of your equatorial mount a breeze!

One cable operation
For further ease of use, the Scops OAG does not require an external controller! Its body includes all of the electronics and only 1 USB cable is plugged, providing both power and control to the OAG.

Precise focusing
A stepper motor is used to ensure absolute focus precision. Simply profile each filter that might have a different focus position and click the filter in the supplied software to perfectly set the OAG to the stored position!

No vignetting across a wide field
A large 10 x 10 mm prism that is fully multicoated and anti-reflection at the entrance and exit surfaces gives you full illumination to the guiding camera. You´ll notice that stars are round and bright across the OAG´s whole field of view.

The prism height is totally adjustable to allow better illumination of the guiding camera´s FoV (field of view). If your imaging / main camera sensor is large, the prism can be moved (with a set screw) upwards to prevent any obstruction of the sensor´s optical path.

Robust design for heavy load
The Scops OAG is built robustly at 31.4 mm thick, sturdy enough to support heavy imaging equipment. The OAG has 50 mm of clear aperture and accepts M54 male-threaded adapters on both sides. Guiding cameras are attached via T-mount or C-mount. Both connectors (T and C) are included in the box.

Attaches directly to the Falcon Rotator
Scops OAG has six (6) screw holes that allow it to be combined with Pegasus Astro´s Falcon Rotator without any additional adapters.
