Delivery

APM Telescopes is one of the few astronomical specialist dealers to deliver to all countries in the world. The shipping costs for orders are very different and depend on many factors, such as the total weight or the dimensions of the shipment.

You can use the Estimated Freight Costs function in the shopping cart to display the estimated shipping costs for the items in the shopping cart. Deliveries to countries outside the European Union (EU) may incur additional costs in the form of customs duties or other fees, which you as the customer must bear yourself. .

APM Telescopes sends goods with the shipping service providers DHL, DPD and UPS. When available, you will receive a tracking number so that you can see the shipping status of your order. The shipping costs include shipping insurance up to the specified value of the goods.

For particularly large shipments, another type of shipping (e.g. on a pallet by a haulage company) can be more cost-effective. In this case, APM Telescopes will contact you and inform you in advance of a change in the shipping method and shipping costs.

Cancellation policy for consumers

A consumer is any natural person who concludes a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither commercial nor self-employed.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to cancel your purchase in the APM Telescopes online shop within fourteen days without giving a reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party designated by you, who is not the carrier, have taken or has taken possession of the goods.

If the goods are delivered in multiple partial shipments or pieces, the withdrawal period begins on the day on which you or a third party designated by you, who is not the carrier, have taken or has taken possession of the last partial shipment or the last piece.

In the case of a contract covering multiple goods that you have ordered as part of a single order and which are delivered separately, the withdrawal period begins on the day on which you or a third party designated by you, who is not the carrier, have taken or has taken possession of the last item.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from your purchase contract by means of a clear declaration (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax, or email). You may use the sample withdrawal form below for this purpose, although this is not mandatory. If the contract was concluded after 18 June 2026, you may also exercise your right of withdrawal online via the page through which you concluded the contract with us. The corresponding button labelled "Cancel contract" can be found at the bottom of the page. If you use this online function, we will send you a confirmation of receipt without delay on a durable medium (e.g. by email), including information on the content of the withdrawal declaration as well as the date and time of its receipt.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send the notification of the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired to the contact details provided in the withdrawal form.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will refund all your payments that we have received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of the additional costs that result from choosing a different type of delivery than the cheapest standard delivery offered by us), within fourteen days from the day on which we received the notification of your cancellation of this contract and the returned goods. For this repayment, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless something else was expressly agreed with you; you will never be charged any fees for this repayment.

The buyer bears the costs of the return. We will pick up the goods from you if they weigh more than 40kg. Please send parcel goods back to us free of charge. Shipments without freight prepaid will not be accepted. If the goods cannot be returned by normal postal service due to their nature (e.g. items that were delivered by freight carrier), the costs for the return are estimated at a maximum of approximately 100 EUR.

You only have to pay for any loss in value of the goods if this loss in value is due to handling of the goods that is not necessary to check the nature, properties and functionality of the goods.

The right of withdrawal in distance selling does not exist:

  • In the case of custom goods that are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the consumer.
  • If audio or video recordings or computer software are delivered in a sealed package and the seal has been removed after delivery.
  • When delivering newspapers or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts.

APM Telescopes generally offers its customers a 2-year warranty for new items (1 year for used goods) from the date of purchase. During this time, the customer is entitled to return the product in the event of verifiable defects and to request repair or exchange. We pick up the goods at our own expense, provided they weigh more than 40kg. You will receive a return label from us for parcel goods. Please do not send goods back to us on your own. Shipments without freight prepaid will not be accepted.

A guarantee is generally only provided by the manufacturer. In the event of a warranty claim, APM Telescopes will obtain the warranty from the manufacturer for you as a customer. However, some manufacturers give a longer guarantee than the warranty period of APM Telescopes. In this case, as a customer, you can contact the manufacturer directly and request the guarantee. Please note that the process is then not carried out via APM Telescopes, but only between you and the manufacturer directly.

Outside the European Union

There is no 14-day right of withdrawal for purchases outside the EU.
