The Sky Rover APO 85 and APO 100 represent the new generation of high-performance apochromatic terrestrial spotting scopes, designed to meet the needs of the most discerning observers, naturalists, birdwatchers and optics enthusiasts seeking the very best image quality.
Available with 85 mm and 100 mm objectives, these instruments offer an ideal combination of high light-gathering power, exceptional contrast and colour fidelity, ensuring professional-level performance in all observing conditions.
At the heart of the optical system lies a sophisticated apochromatic objective comprising two ED glass elements, one of which is made from Super ED glass with an Abbe number of up to 95. This configuration drastically reduces chromatic aberration, delivering extremely sharp, detailed images free from annoying colour fringing, even in the most challenging situations, such as observing high-contrast subjects or those backlit.
To achieve even greater performance, the Sky Rover also utilises lanthanum-based optical glass, precision aspherical elements and ultra-broadband multi-layer anti-reflective coatings, which maximise light transmission and enhance overall image contrast. The result is a brilliant, natural view, rich in detail right to the edges of the field of view.
One of the most innovative features of the series is the integrated wide-angle zoom eyepiece with a constant apparent field of view – a feature normally reserved for premium-range instruments. As the magnification changes, the field of view remains wide and immersive, without the typical reductions noticeable in standard zoom eyepieces. The viewing experience is therefore particularly engaging and comfortable, whether for panoramic observations or when searching for the finest details.
Thanks to the S&T adapter and the multifunction ring, Sky Rover spotting scopes can also be used with standard 31.8 mm (1.25") astronomical eyepieces, electronic eyepieces and various dedicated accessories. This feature significantly broadens the scope of the instrument’s applications, allowing you to personalise your observing experience and make use of a wide range of accessories normally intended for astronomy.
The combination of high-quality construction, premium optical materials and advanced technical solutions enables the Sky Rover APO spotting scopes to achieve performance on a par with the best instruments on the market, whilst offering extremely competitive value for money.
Whether for birdwatching, nature observation, landscape viewing or digiscoping, the Sky Rover APO 85 and APO 100 are the ideal choice for those seeking images of the very highest standard without compromise.
