This apo offers some more aperture and focal length than the smaller Esprit-EDX, using a triplet objective with an APO element made of Japanese Ohara FPL53. The fast apo is primarily designed for mobile astrophotography. With the # 20188 flattener, the Esprit-100 becomes a powerful astrograph with a flat field of view, whereby the high speed of f/5.5 is maintained and ensures short exposure times. The ESPRIT has a 360° rotator built into the eyepiece side, allowing perfect orientation of the camera to the object. The focuser itself, now a 3" version, can also be rotated.
