The Skywatcher Evostar ED telescopes consist of a two-lens, multi-coated lens. One of the components is the very high quality FPL-53 ED glass, which has a low refractive power and an abnormal partial dispersion. Lenses with very low chromatic aberration can be manufactured with this glass. In practice, this means optics that are almost color-corrected, without the yellowish / bluish color fringing known from Fraunhofer refractors. As a result, the optics perform more contrast rich and show finer details are visible on the sun, moon and planets.
The ED refractors are perfect for wide-field observation with 2" eyepieces as well as for high-resolution moon and planetary observation with the highest magnifications. Under very good conditions, the theoretically possible maximum magnification of 285x can be achieved with an Evostar-100ED and the optics still delivers sharp and brilliant images! All ED optics are of course also suitable for astrophotography.
The models of the Pro series have an elegant design with a white / bronze colored tube. The whole workmanship is very well done and also meets high demands. A 2" focuser has great advantages for photography and also for observation. You have the option of using 2" eyepieces or even doing astrophotography without vignetting the edges. The Skywatcher ED 100 Pro is a compact all-round telescope for earth observation, sky observation and of course for all photographic targets.
In this bundle, the original Skywatcher reducer-corrector 0.85x for ED refractors is included. So, this bundle is perfect for breathtaking Deep-Sky astrophotography.
