The SV209, with a 0.8x focal length reduction, was specifically designed for astrophotography using the primary focus. It is compatible with the SV550 122 mm f/7 APO refractor and is suitable for astronomy enthusiasts.
The SV209 corrects the field curvature of the optics, improving image quality and imaging efficiency at the edge of the field of view. It transforms the 854 mm f/7 refractor into a 683.2 mm f/5.6 system to enable faster and wider-angle astronomical and terrestrial photography.
