The Maksutov-Cassegrain optical system offers a reflection rate of over 95%, which is particularly evident during high-contrast observations such as lunar craters, planetary bands or planetary nebulae. Globular clusters also benefit from the high level of detail.

Precise focusing

A dual-speed focuser allows for both quick coarse adjustments and precise fine-tuning. This makes observation much easier – particularly at high magnifications or in astrophotography.

Versatile

The MK127 is not only suitable for astronomical observations, but is also excellent for terrestrial observations. This makes it a versatile companion for nature lovers and amateur astronomers.

Astrophotography Boost

A particular highlight is the 0.65× flattener & focal length reducer. It ensures:

• a significantly wider field of view

• corrected field curvature

• approx.  66% greater efficiency in astrophotography

This makes the compact Maksutov surprisingly capable of wide-angle deep-sky photography.
