This extender is suitable for the Takahashi fluorite apochromats FS-60CB, FS-60Q, FC-76D (both versions), FC-76Q, and FC-100D (all versions). However, it is also compatible with the older Sky-90 and FSQ-106 fluorite models, which are no longer manufactured. Of course, it can also be used with many other devices as a moderate focal length extension.
It extends the focal length by a factor of 1.6, allowing you to use your existing telescope in even more versatile ways and also for photographing smaller objects or structures. The necessary adapters and extensions for observation and photography are included!
Sophisticated optics for the best correction
This is not a simple Barlow element, but a complex optical system with 5 lenses in 3 groups. It produces a flat, color-accurate image and delivers the best performance both visually and photographically. The connection on the telescope side is an M43x0.75 external thread, and the included variable sleeves (2x long, 1x short) have T2 threads, allowing you to screw on a T2 bayonet ring or other T2 accessories. An adapter to M36.5 is also included, so the original Takahashi 1.25" eyepiece clamp can be remounted at the rear.
The included sleeves are matched in length so that you can mount either a camera, a 1.25" zenith prism with eyepiece, or an eyepiece directly (straight) at the correct distance. The TKA00596 adapter can be purchased separately and allows the use of 2-inch accessories. The adapters included in the set are also available individually: TKA00586 T2 extension 40 mm, TKA00587 T2 extension 20 mm, and TKA00588 adapter T2 to M36.4.
