The new FS-60CB has a tube that is 20 mm shorter than the classic version (FS-60C). The original configuration can be restored using a removable 20 mm screw adapter. This allows the light path to be easily adapted to different requirements, whether 1.25‘ equipment or 2’. Even with a 2‘ zenith mirror and a 2’ eyepiece, the focus position can be easily reached.

With these reducers for the FS-60CB or FS-60C fluorite apo, the focal length can be reduced by a factor of 0.72x, from 355 mm to 255 mm (f/4.3). This combination allows you to reach ranges that are otherwise covered by telephoto lenses – with uncompromising image quality. The image circle is exceptionally large for a reducer, with a diameter of 40 mm, but it can only be recommended for full-frame cameras to a limited extent. With an APS-C sensor, however, you have almost full illumination right into the corners of the image.

Takahashi offers rotating camera mounts for its telescopes, which are necessary because most of the company's focusers are not rotatable.
