On the evening of August 12, 2026, an extraordinary celestial event is on the horizon: A total solar eclipse will pass over parts of Europe—though not over Germany.
Here in Germany, we will experience an impressive partial eclipse, which will nonetheless offer a rare and spectacular sight. Germany will be entirely within the Moon’s penumbra. As a result, the sun will not be completely, but clearly and visibly “nibbled away.”
What do you need to safely observe the solar eclipse? You can find a list 👉 here!

Telescopes
APM offers you a comprehensive selection of different telescopes for every requirement and budget. We can offer you various mirror telescopes, refractors and catadioptric telescopes, from a simple entry-level telescope to a 1.5m observatory telescope.
Takahashi offers rotating camera mounts for its telescopes, which are necessary because most of the company's focusers are not rotatable. However, this rotator also makes sense visually, as it allows the ZSP or other accessories to be conveniently rotated into the desired position. The quality is so high that there is no play even when the screw is loosened.
The Askar 103APO is a 103 mm aperture, 700 mm focal length, and f/6.8 native focal ratio apo refractor with many useful features and several corrector options.
The Esprit-70EDX from Skywatcher offers the highest optical and mechanical quality and is optimized for astrophotography.
Takahashi offers matching 1:7 microfocusers for all telescopes with normal focusers.
The 60F is a very transportable APO refractor for astrophotography with corrected field of view up to full frame format and for observing up to the highest magnification range.
