Each filter works out specific details by transmitting only specific parts of the visual spectrum. As a result the contrast of these details is boosted for better visibility. Minimum aperture 120 mm, better suited for telescopes of 150 mm aperture or larger.
Drastically boosts contrast on the Moon, better contrast even far off the terminator. Suitable for low magnifications. This filter is especially effective on Jupiter, revealing the famous Great Red Spot and other reddish details in the Jovian atmosphere. White spots in Saturn's atmosphere are enhanced in telescopes of 200 mm aperture or larger.
