The adapter enables accessories with M42x0.75 female thread to be connected to focusers and adapters with M68x1 female thread. The adapter can be completely countersunk in the M68 female thread.
The adapter also has an internal thread on the telescope side for 2" filters (M48x0.75).
The adapter can, for example, be screwed directly into the M68x1 internal thread of the focuser instead of the 2" receptacle and thus enables the screwing of common adapters with the M48 internal thread, such as T-rings or off-axis guiders.
The threaded connection of adapters increases the accuracy and also the quality of the astrophotos, because a tilting by clamping is impossible. The adapter fits all connections with M68x1 ZEISS style female thread.
