TS-Optics Connection Adapter for Riccardi M82 Reducer to Starlight FTF3545 Focusers
With this adapter, you can connect one of the best apo correctors to the possibly best refractor focuser. The Riccardi M82 Reducer is sunk into the drawtube of the FTF3545. This is necessary for reaching the focus position.
Ath the camera side, the adapter offers a ZEISS style M68x1 thread connector, so you can attach the professional M68 adapter system from TS-Optics and Baader, like extension and fine tuning rings or the TS-Optics full-frame sizet M68 off-axis guider.
The adapter needs only 4.5 optical path which has to be subtracted from the necessary backfocus of the Riccardi reducer. If, for example, a working distance of 80 mm from the female M82x1 thread is needed, now the new working distance is 80 - 4.5 = 75.5 mm from the male M68x1 thread of the adapter. The male thread itself is not taken into account.
