TS Pier adapter and tripod adapter for Skywatcher EQ5 to EQ6 and similar mounts

The adapter allows you to attach your mount to the TS-Optics Tri-Pier pier tripod. With three different distances from the center to the pin for azimuthal adjustment, the adapter offers maximum flexibility, you can attach many mounts.

How to attach your mount to the pier tripod or pier with this adapter:

  • Screw the adapter to the bottom of the mount. Use the matching washer with the slot, this will seat the mount snugly, but it can still be adjusted.
  • Then place the mount with the attached adapter on the pier or on the pier extension of the TS-Optics Tri-Pier pier tripod. The adapter fits all piers with 94 mm inner diameter.
  • For fixation, the pier adapter provides three radially arranged female M6 threads (distance 120° to each other) at the ring base on the bottom side. Axial fixing is not provided. Therefore, practically only a pipe comes into question as a pier.
