Product description

The new Vixen VSD100 F3.8 generation has an extremely fast f/3.8 aperture ratio and is therefore the fastest refractor in this quality class.

The flat field of view allows photography up to 645 medium format cameras. An SD lens is used in the front lens group and an ED lens in the rear group to achieve excellent colour correction.

The blue halos around stars that are visible in astrophotography are successfully corrected. In addition, astigmatism as well as coma and aberrations are corrected to an extremely high level.

The beam intensity on the lens groups of the VSD100 F3.8 is better than that of a 4-element 4-group telescope by approximately 10%. It is ideally suited for detecting faint stars. The illumination is 70 mm in diameter. The star images have a size of 15 micrometers up to the image corners. The image field is optimally levelled.

The VSD100 F3.8 is coated with the most modern coatings of extremely high reflectivity. These are designed to optimize the characteristics of each lens element without degrading contrast and light intensity when multiple lenses are used. The light transmission is 99.9%, providing excellent bright and high contrast images.
