Product description
ZWO ASI120mini the compact and powerful SW Astro camera and autoguider

The new planetary and guiding camera from ZWO makes you a successful planet photographer. The improved electronics and the sophisticated software achieve highest sharpness on moon and planets. Rejoice over perfectly round stars when doing long exposures, because the ASI120MM mini is a very sensitive autoguider.

The ASI120MM mini as a camera for moon and planets
The high resolution of 1280x960 pixel and the small pixel size of 3.75 µm allow for perfectly sharp images of the objects of our solar system. Due to the sensor´s high light sensitivity you achieve extremely short exposure times, "freezing" the Seeing so to speak.

Start doing video astronomy using the ASI120MM mini. With 35 frames per second at full resolution, you can produce a magnificent flight across the moon´s surface. Or create ultra-sharp planetary images within a very short time, by selecting and sorting out only the very sharpest frames of the video.

The ASI120MM mini as effective autoguider
With this camera autoguiding is made easy. With only 60 grams of weight the camera puts no significant stress onto the focuser, not more than a 1.25" eyepiece. Even with small guiding scopes or with off-axis guider the camera will always find a suitable guiding star. As a result of this, round stars at long exposure times will become a standard. Due to the high resolution you can guide telescopes up to an aperture of 10" using a simple 50mm finder scope or Mini Guidescope

Due to the ST-4 Level autoguider port you can connect the camera with your mount, via the mount´s autoguiding port. The corresponding cable is included.

Suitable drivers can be downloaded. The ASI120MM mini is suitable for PHD Guiding, Guidedog, Metaguide, Guidemaster (Freeware) or AstroArt, MaxIm DL (fee-based).

A tip: with the ASIAIR, the ASI120Mini and your smartphone turn into a fine autoguider which also works without computer, with higher sensitivity and resolution than the previous "stand-alone" autoguiders ... for really little money - simply calculate and compare.

The ASI120MM mini as astro-camera for star clusters and nebulae
Due to the light sensitive sensor with 75% QE even nebulae, star clusters and galaxies are within your reach. Within just a few seconds of exposing you detect objects which wouldn´t be visible when looking through a telescope. Because of the short exposure time guiding isn´t necessary. However, your mount should be capable of motoric tracking (compensation of the earth´s rotation).

The ASI120MM mini grants a successful introduction into the exciting field of deep-sky photography. The connection to the telescope cound not be easier. Simply insert the camera into the receptacle of your telescope, just like an eyepiece, connect your computer, focus on a star and start with astrophotography!
